I finally finished the other bootie!
I used this pattern: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/oh-baby-baby-booties
I also finished the baby cap, I cord was way to thick so I ended up crocheting a band.
Instructions on modifications that I made to fit this yarn can be found on my ravelry page:

Newborn Cardigan - Instructions
I wanted to document how I made the baby cardigan, before I loose the piece of paper I scribbled down what I did. I used debbie bliss Rialto DK
Body:
Cast on 86 Stitches
Row 1-2: k
Row 3 (buttonhole): k accross to last 4 sts, k1, y0, k2togk1
Row 4-5: k
Row 6. k4, P accross to within 4 stitches of end k4
Row 7: k
Repeat Row 6 and 7 until 14 cm. But create buttonholes with 8 garters between (I had 9 between and, the last two buttons will be two close). Instructions for Buttonhole row is Row3.
Sleeves:
Cast on 24 stithces,
knit 3 garthers (knit 1 round, purl 1 round). Increase in every 6th round (total of 5 times) until you have 35 stitches. Knit until 14 cm. Put 6 stitches in the middle on scrap of yarn.
Attach the sleeves to the body : knit 20 (6 stitches on scrap of yarn), knit 28 stitches sleeve (6 stitches on scrap of yarn), knit 34 stithces (6 stithces on scrap of yarn), knit 28 stitches sleeve (6 stitches on scrap of yarn), knit 20 stithes. You now have 130 stitches on the needles. Knit 2 rounds (Row 7 and 6)
Raglan decrease:
Decrase 10 times (Row 7), make sure to knit also row 6 without decreases. In the end you will have 50 stithces.
Knit 3 garthers in the end and then Cast off.

Pants ready and a matching hat almost finished
As I´m using much thicker yarn than most baby patterns I had to adjust the hat pattern, and it seems that it will be ok, i hope it will fit... i´m planning to add bear-ears to it and an i-cord. The pattern for the hat I have on a piece of paper copied from somewhere and in Icelandic. But here is very similar pattern . I had one of these as a child and I have always loved them. Modifications that I made is: cast on 24 stitches, (12-12-7-7-12-12).
Next on the agenda is either a scarf or mittens or maybe both if the yarn is sufficient, i don´t really feel the need for a scarf for such a little baby as they almost have no neck so I will start with the mittens and then see if i mabye do socks or scarf.

Project 12 - baby cardigan and pants
First thing I´ve knitted for my baby girl who I´m expeting. The cardigan is ready. No pattern, measured one of a favourite shirts from my 2 year old when she was newborn and went from there. Aparrantly made some calculation errors, so the last button is very close to the previous. But I don´t care love it anyway. I know just need to find the right buttons.
And I decided to start on pants to go with it, I´m basing it somewhat on a drops pattern and somewhat on these modifications... well that was the idea anyway but ended up doing it totally different to make them more baggy and tighter in the waist.. and ended up going more after a pants from my 2 year old than the pattern and the modifications.

Some inspiration.. while a sweater is drying on my bathroom floor
It´s just over midnight and I just finished a sweater for my girl ... In the most lovely colour (burnt orange - debbie bliss rialto dk yarn)
I have never used this yarn before, and it was lovely. I imagined that it would grow similar to the Icelandic wool (léttlopi) but I was wrong and the sizing was a bit off it is therefore way to big for my 2 year old after wash. So either I wait for 1-2 years until she can wear it or give it to someone that fits in it.
I found some great knitting inspiration on http://shop.nordstrom.com/
